What do you do for exercise?
I’ve played a lot of sports throughout my life, but I’ve never stuck with one of them. I’ve been in and out of the gym doing different routines but never felt I got the results I wanted. I did Crossfit for a bit, it was interesting and fun but didn’t enjoy it enough to keep doing it.
Since I moved to Florida I started riding a bike around a park, it is a great way to enjoy the weather while exercising. A few months later I joined Orange Theory and started going twice a week, the coaches are great and the environment is much better than a regular gym. The best thing for me is that I don’t have to think about the exercises, they follow some standards but they’re always different. They focus on different muscles groups every day and I never know when leg day is so I’m not tempted to skip it.
After a few months, I started to see the results I wanted but eventually hit a plateau so I started to go 4 times a week and had one of the coaches do a meal plan for me. Since then I have seen much better results, both in performance and in weight reduction.
For the last couple of weeks I’ve also been doing yoga, it is a great way to eliminate toxins from your body as well as release tension and improve flexibility.
After 10 months of dedication I have lost:
- 15 lbs
- 2 pant sizes
- around 4% body fat
My goal is to lose another 25 lbs and 12% body fat, not sure how long that’s going to take but the important thing is that the longer I do it the better I feel. I do it because I want to be a better person, because I no longer want to deal with back pain, because if I don’t demand the best from myself then I have no right to demand the best from someone else.
